Hi, I'm Betsy!

I am a lifelong Wyomingite. I was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. I graduated from Natrona County High School in 2008 and from the University of Wyoming at Casper College with a BA in English Literature in 2013. Shortly after graduating from university, my husband and I got married at Fort Caspar. I earned my MA in Education from St. Catherine's University in 2018. My husband and I have two wonderful children, a dog and a cat. We enjoy attending community events as well as spending time in nature. We especially enjoy fishing and camping around Wyoming.

I'm not a lifelong politician. I've been a teacher, a parent, a volunteer, a neighbor, and a community advocate. Public service isn't something I discovered when I decided to run for office—it's something I've been doing for years. I decided to run for office because I believe that it is time for the next generation to step in to help build the future of Wyoming.

My Work and Volunteer Experience

  • I worked as a preschool teacher for most of ten years. Two of those ten years I ran my own preschool business in my home.

  • I currently work as a digital communications coordinator for WyoUnited Education Project.

  • I volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

  • I am the board secretary for WyoUnited.

  • I was the Parent Teacher Co-op President of Woods Learning Center.

  • I serve on the Natrona County Historic Preservation Commission.

  • I am a member of The CUSP (Casper Unity and Solidarity Project).
